Most ports of modern games seem to run pretty well, so this is within the realm of possibility. Playing such a game on the go would be pretty ideal. I really, really hope that the Nintendo Switch version of Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire launches around the same time as the other console versions and performs well. It’s also coming to the hottest new console around, the Nintendo Switch. However, for Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire the turnaround is far quicker with it due for release this holiday season. This in itself isn’t that much of a surprise as the original game made its way to console as well. Later this year, however, as Game Informer reports, the take on classic computer RPGs will also be heading to consoles. Here we in 2018 and the sequel to Pillars of Eternity, Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire, will be making it’s way to PC in April after an insanely successful crowdfunding campaign (this time under Fig which is a crowdfunding platform with investment opportunities as well). It was a heck of a gamble and could mean the end of the company if it wasn’t successful. Obsidian risked their company’s future on the idea that there was still a crowd out there for the old style of RPGs you used to have available on PCs back in the 90s by taking their idea for a game in that style to crowd-fundraising platform Kickstarter. Of course, you will also want to check out some Pillars of Eternity 2 best builds in order to make that. Going through that ordeal, again and again, is one of the best ways to experience Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire at its fullest. Play Obsidian’s latest homage to classic CRPGs on your console of choice when Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire comes to all consoles later this year.
